It is with immense pride that we welcome you to the first edition of IRONMAN les Sables d’Olonne Vendée. This year marks a change for this event and for everyone who, like you, shares a passion for sport and extraordinary physical and mental challenges.
The region of Vendee, known for its wild beauty and love of sports, is the perfect setting to host this event. This year IRONMAN les Sables d’Olonne Vendée, will be more than just a race; it will be a personal challenge and a test of resilience where you will need to dig deep within yourself to arrive at the finish line. It will also be a collective adventure, where the solidarity of your fellow athletes, supporters and volunteers will become a true driving force for you to achieve your goal.
The course will pay homage to the diverse landscapes of the region. The swim will take you along the Coast of light, before guiding you into the famous Vendée Globe Channel, home to the spectacular 2025 finish line of the world-renowned sailing event. Then, you will embark on a bike course that follow the breathtaking Remblai des Sables d’Olonne. After the first few kilometres, you will start to pass through the traditional villages of the Vendée region, here you will be greeted by a beautiful showcase of local heritage and great support from local communities. Finally, the run course will take you through streets lined with cheering crowds who will carry you all the way to the finish line.
