Arthur Horseau of France and Lisa Perterer of Austria claimed the top spots at the 2025 IRONMAN Cozumel on November 23. Horseau secured the men's victory with a time of 7:48:18, while Perterer finished the women's race in 8:29:29.
The race featured a notably fast, current-assisted swim. Sven Thalmann of Switzerland led the field out of the water with a time of 41:01, with Michele Sarzilla and Joaquin Pereda not far behind.
After facing an eight-minute deficit following the swim, Horseau began moving up the field during the bike segment. By the 10km mark of the run, he had taken the lead and maintained his advantage to the finish.
In the women’s event Perterer was dominant throughout the race, taking the lead out of the water with a time of 51:13 and never looking back. Perterer's lead expanded to over 10 minutes on the bike and to nearly 15 minutes by the time she reached the second transition area.
