In the professional races at the Itaú BBA IRONMAN 70.3 Florianópolis Latin American Championship on October 26, 2025, Uruguay's Federico Scarabino dominated the men's field while Brazil's Djenyfer Arnold showcased her strong running ability to take the women's title.
Men's professional race:
Federico Scarabino controlled the race from the start and built an early lead that he never relinquished, crossing the line with a time of 3:35:11. In the Swim, Scarabino was first out of the water and put an early gap on the field. Once on the bike, he expanded his lead and held off all challenges and a consistent run solidified his victory.
Podium: He finished 1 minute and 13 seconds ahead of second-place Luciano Taccone (3:36:24), with Fernando Toldi rounding out the podium in third (3:39:08).
Women's professional race:
Djenyfer Arnold relied on a decisive run to come from behind and secure the victory with a time of 4:00:56. During the Swim/Bike Arnold lost ground in the swim and bike legs, with Vittoria Lopes showing superior form and leading by more than two minutes at the start of the run. Then Arnold used her running strength to quickly close the gap, catching Lopes within the first 15 kilometers.
Podium: Arnold surged into the lead to win with a time of 4:00:56. Lopes held on for second place (4:05:10), followed by Romina Biagioli in third (4:07:20).
