IRONMAN Pro Series 70.3 St George USA Start List

More than 100 professional triathletes are slated to toe the start line at the Intermountain Health IRONMAN® 70.3® North American Championship St. George on Saturday, May 4. Continuing the excitement that has highlighted the new IRONMAN Pro Series , the Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship St. George offers professionals a maximum of 2,500 points towards IRONMAN Pro Series standings and a $75,000 event total pro prize purse.  Designated as the IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship, the event also offers four qualifying slots for each gender to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship® race.
 
In yet another deep men’s and women’s professional field, the event can be seen live in person and will be broadcast across multiple platforms for viewers around the world for free including proseries.ironman.com, Outside TV, DAZN and L'Equipe in France, among others.
 
With every second behind the race winner equating to a point earned or lost, athletes know Every Second Matters. Jeanni Metzler (ZAF), Skye Moench (USA) and Ellie Salthouse (AUS) will make their debut in the IRONMAN Pro Series as they look to accrue early season points.
 
On the professional men’s side, will be athletes such as Jackson Laundry (CAN), Sam Long (USA) and Marc Dubrick (USA), all of whom also raced in Oceanside, California on April 6. Don’t count out Cameron Wurf (AUS), Maximilian Sperl (DEU), Ben Hamilton (NZL) and or the other nearly 75 professionals expected to race.
 
This year marks ten years of racing in St. George, Utah, a stunning Southwestern venue that has hosted two IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship races and the IRONMAN World Championship event in recent years. The Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship St. George kicks off with a reservoir swim and will see a quick exit towards transition before a ride through rolling hills and the signature climb into Snow Canyon State Park. Fast descents back into St. George will be framed by spectacular canyons-views that continue into the downtown, two-lap run and an ultimate town center finish line. The Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship St. George has become a fan favorite attracting athletes coming from all over the world come to prove themselves against this legendary course through truly challenging and beautiful desert terrains.
 
In addition to the professional field, over 2,000 registered participants will compete at Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship St. George, alongside the professionals on the same course, looking to earn age group qualifying slots to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship on Dec. 14 and 15 in Taupo, New Zealand. In addition to this, the Intermountain Health IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship St. George also offers 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship, Nice, France, slots to the Top 5 Placed Women in each age group category.

The best male long-distance triathletes in the world from 12 age groups claimed their respective titles at the 2025 IRONMAN® World Championship triathlon in Nice, France on Sunday, September 14. Nearly 2,500 registered athletes from 86 countries, regions and territories swam 2.4 miles, biked 112 miles, and ran 26.2 miles, in triathlon’s pinnacle event of triathlon. Queensland’s Ellie Salthouse (AUS) and Tasmania’s Jake Birtwhistle (AUS) have impressed on their way to victory at the 2025 IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast, with both athletes breaking the tape comfortably clear of second place on the spectator-lined finish in Mooloolaba. Salthouse completed the 1.9km swim, 90km bike, and 21.1km run in 4:05:10 – more than five minutes clear of Sunshine Coast-based Dutch athlete Lotte Wilms.
