IRONMAN Maryland USA Pro Preview

The IRONMAN Maryland triathlon, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, returns to Cambridge, Maryland. Approximately 1,400 registered athletes are set to participate in Maryland’s only full-distance IRONMAN triathlon. Race weekend kicked off on Wednesday, Sept. 13 with athlete check-in located at IRONMAN Village at Long Wharf. On Saturday, September 17, athletes will begin their IRONMAN journey with a 2.4-mile swim in the Choptank River. Athletes will transition to the bike at Gerry Boyle Park for a 112-mile ride through Dorchester County and into the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and a 26.2-mile run through historic Cambridge with an unforgettable finish at Long Wharf Park.

The 2023 IRONMAN Maryland triathlon, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, will feature professional triathletes competing for part of $100,000 USD prize purse. Highlighting the field are the likes of Alice Alberts (USA), Meredith Kessler (USA), Mel McQuaid (CAN), Sam Long (USA), Cody Beals (CAN) and Michael Weiss (AUT), among many others.?
