New In 2025 The Bastion Full 226km Iron Distance

Thursday 16 January 2025

A new legend begins! The Bastion full 226km iron distance triathlon debuts at the stunning Château de Chantilly on 8 June 2025. Less that one hour from Paris, this extraordinary event offers the ultimate test of endurance in one of Europe’s most breathtaking settings. Are you ready for the challenge.

Why 2025 is Unmissable

Marking our 15th year hosting the Chantilly Triathlon and Multisport Festival, 2025 promises to be our grandest celebration yet. After years of organising half-iron distance races at the Château and drawing on our experience putting on The Bastion at Hever Castle for the last 10 years, we’re shifting gears and introducing The Bastion Full 226km Iron distance at Chantilly – the ultimate test of willpower and resilience.

Starting with the 3.8km swim in the pristine waters of the Grand Canal surrounded by the castle’s historic beauty and splendour of the Le Nôtre designed gardens, you'll then take on our new 180km bike route through the surrounding Picardy countryside, created to be breathtakingly scenic, fiercely challenging and quintessentially French, pushing your limits like never before. Once you’ve conquered the ride, you'll transition to a wonderfully flat and shaded 42.2km run course winding through the picturesque grounds of the Château. At the finish line, a vibrant events village awaits, brimming with traders, delicious food stalls, live music, and a festive atmosphere. Spectators will have plenty to enjoy as they cheer on their loved ones tackling the full 226km iron distance challenge.
