Brand New IRONMAN 70.3 Riviera Nayarit Mexico Announced

IRONMAN announced?today that the vibrant area of Riviera Nayarit, Mexico will host the inaugural IRONMAN® 70.3® Riviera Nayarit triathlon set to take place on November 10, 2024. Registration for the new event is now available by visiting www.ironman.com/im703-riviera-nayarit.
 
The new IRONMAN 70.3 Riviera Nayarit triathlon will start with a 1.9km (1.2-mile) swim in the Pacific Ocean. After exiting the water, athletes will take on the 90km (56-miles) bike ride on the route towards Puerto Vallarta before capping off their race with a 21 km (13.1-miles) run through the Hotel District and main Marina of Riviera Nayarit making for an unforgettable Mexican racing experience.

Nuevo Nayarit is a planned resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast, just north of Puerto Vallarta. The resort area sits on Banderas Bay, and is known for its golf courses, marina and long, sandy Nuevo Vallarta beach. A short distance off the coast, the biodiverse Marieta Islands are home to wildlife, including dolphins, turtles and humpback whales. Northwest of Nuevo Nayarit is the laid-back village of Sayulita, which is known for its great surfing.

The 2024 IRONMAN 70.3 Riviera Nayarit will offer age group qualifying slots to the 2025 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship taking place on November 8-9, 2025, in Marbella, Spain.
