Every Athlete. Every Moment. Endurance at its Best.
With approximately 1,000 eligible professionals and 20 IRONMAN Pro Series races, there will be no shortage of storylines for featured content housed on the new website, giving fans the ability to immerse themselves in the action. The new website will also be the hub for global livestreaming options of every IRONMAN Pro Series race, inclusive of the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN® World Championship events (men and women) and the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN® 70.3® World Championship in Taupo, giving viewers around the world access to Free live coverage.

“The IRONMAN Pro Series website will provide a hub to showcase and tell the stories of our amazing professionals and the competition taking place from week to week,” said Marieka Barnard, Chief Marketing Officer at The IRONMAN Group. “Starting with Oceanside, California, we look forward to showcasing endurance racing at its best  on some of the most iconic IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 courses in the world.”

The new IRONMAN Pro Series, which was first announced in October of 2023, will see professional triathletes vie for the title of IRONMAN Pro Series Champion and their share of an incremental $1.7 million dollars paid at years end on top of individual event payout creating a total pro prize and bonus purse of nearly $6 million in 2024 season. The new Series will be contested over 20 designated races on 19 courses in the 2024 pro circuit, including a combination of six full-distance IRONMAN events and 10 IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlons from around the globe in addition to the split location women’s and men’s 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship triathlons and two-day women’s and men’s VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship triathlons.

Every Second Matters
The IRONMAN Pro Series is a points-based system based on an athlete’s finish time in relation to the event winner, calculated after the completion of each designated series race. Winners at IRONMAN events will earn 5,000 points while winners of IRONMAN 70.3 events will earn 2,500 points. In each scenario, points continue to decrease as the race time increases, until the points reach zero. Elevated points are available at the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship (6,000 for champion), and the VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship (3,000 points for champion). Only the top five points results for a competitor count towards final rankings, of which a maximum of three IRONMAN results can be counted. The male and female pro with the most points at the end of the Series will be crowned IRONMAN Pro Series Champion. The inaugural race of the IRONMAN Pro Series will kick off at the Athletic Brewing IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside event on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Standings and individual race results can be found on the new IRONMAN Pro Series website.
