DESCRIPTION:Athletes will begin their race with a 3.8 km (2.4 mile) swim in the calm and scenic waters of the Punta Negra Dam, with unparalleled views of the San Juan River, Cerro Blanco, and surrounding hills. Once out of the water, athletes will bike 180.2 km (112 miles) through San Juan's vineyards, colorful valleys and dreamlike vistas. The one-lap course will pass serene rivers and panoramic mountain views. The course is designed to offer flat stretches and some challenging hills, while showcasing the beauty of the region. After transitioning to the run, athletes will complete a 42.2 km (26.2 mile) run along the downtown streets of San Juan's historic landmarks, cheered on by San Juan’s local community. The flat and fast course includes a mix of urban streets between Libertador San Martin Avenue, South Connector, and Cantoni Stadium, culminating in an unforgettable experience at the finish line at the Plaza del Bicentenario.
