Bradley Weiss (ZAF and Lionel Sanders (CAN) hooked up at 30 mile mark on the bike and headed out on the run together. The pair ran shoulder-to-shoulder for the first 9 miles of the run when Sanders began to inch away from the South African. Sanders managed to pad his lead throughout the final three miles of the run to take the win.
Chelsea Sodaro (USA) played her racing cards brilliantly throughout her race in Georgia. The American dealt the women's field a solid swim and bike performance and then trumped the field with a near race best run to take the win by 4:43 over her closest rival on the day.
