IRONMAN announced?today that the vibrant area of Riviera Nayarit, Mexico will host the inaugural IRONMAN® 70.3® Riviera Nayarit triathlon set to take place on November 10, 2024. IRONMAN in conjunction with Ottawa Tourism announced today that Canada’s Capital city of Ottawa will become the newest location to host an IRONMAN® Canada triathlon beginning in 2025. A new champion was crowned at a sweltering Singapore T100 as Dutch wildcard Youri Keulen claimed his maiden T100 victory; while American comeback specialist Sam Long charged from last on the swim to finish second, despite serving a 30-second penalty on the run. In the unforgiving Singapore heat and humidity, defending champion Ashleigh Gentle conquered not just the heat, but also any self doubts, to come from behind on the run and win an epic T100 battle with Lucy Charles-Barclay. Ashleigh dug very deep in the latter stages of the 100km race to wipe out a 5 minute 33 second deficit coming out of T2 to beat Lucy as well as surprise podium finisher Els Visser. more

IRONMAN and Unlimited Sports announced today that the city of Aracaju, in the state of Sergipe, Brazil will be the newest host location of an IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlon. New Zealand’s Sam Osborne and Brisbane’s Ellie Salthouse have claimed victory at IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong, with both athletes impressing on their way to the top step of the podium. Osborne headed into Sunday’s race having never been on an IRONMAN 70.3 podium before, with the accomplished off-road athlete taking the win in 3:41:25, just 11 seconds clear of Great Britain’s Thomas Bishop, with Henrik Goesch from Finland a minute further behind in third. more

Great Britain’s India Lee won the Miami T100 at Clash Endurance Miami to give her victory in the first ever women’s T100 and the maximum 35 points. “I’m speechless,” said the 35-year old after what is her biggest win in the sport by some distance, beating fellow Brits Lucy Charles-Barclay and Holly Lawrence into second and third places respectively. “It feels like I’m watching myself in a different entity. Chelsea Sodaro (USA) and Steve McKenna (AUS) have claimed the 2024 ANZCO Foods IRONMAN New Zealand titles on a historic day as the event celebrates its 40th anniversary. Sodaro, the 2022 IRONMAN World Champion, was hugely impressive from cannon to tape on her IRONMAN New Zealand debut, setting a new course best time of 8:40:06.
