Pacific Paradise hosts Exotic 70.3 Ecuador

This beach lover's paradise beckons those looking for a chance to race in exotic Ecuador. With a cheering crowd of thousands and a sold-out inaugural event in 2015, IRONMAN 70.3 Ecuador has all the ingredients for an exciting race experience. Ecuador awaits you, with all the facilities provided by high quality fully closed roads, exotic tropical scenery and an unbeatable racing environment.

The 2018 edition will take place on July 8, in Manta, which is located on the Pacific Ocean Coast. In addition to the spectacular scenery and leisure activities, athletes and their families will enjoy mild weather and an enthusiastic, cheering community, which creates an unbeatable environment for an unforgettable race. Manta is easily accessible thanks to its international airport and offers a first-class hotel infrastructure and lots of entertainment and dining opportunities.

IRONMAN 70.3 Ecuador begins with a 1.2-mile swim in the Pacific Ocean. Athletes then embark on a one-loop, 56-mile bike course that travels along the coast and then inland, before reaching the return point at the beautiful beach of Crucita. Finally, a two-loop, flat and fast 13.1-mile run course offers beautiful ocean views, spectacular crowds and a lively finish line just off of the beach.

IRONMAN 70.3 Ecuador offers 30 qualifying slots for the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France.

Professionals compete for P-750 points plus $25,000 prize purse.

Taking place in the western portion of Chongming Island, IRONMAN 70.3 Shanghai Chongming race will begin with a 1.2-mile (1.9-km) swim in freshwater Mingzhu Lake.
