The Sado Triathlon is internationally renowned for its challenging competition. Sado’s Astro Type race — comparable to the Ironman Triathlon — is the only long distance race, except for Goto’s race, available in Japan. Every year, over 1200 participants swim, bike and run in the event supported by more than 6000 local volunteer members. Last year, both male and female Australians won the Bright Type race.
