DESCRIPTION:During the Garmin Iron Triathlon Goldap participants can choose one of three distances: 1/2 IM, 1/4 IM, 1/8 IM.

Swimming – at the distances of: 0.475 km (1 lap of 0.475 km), 0.95 km (1 lap of 0,95 km), 1.9 km, (2 laps of 0.95 km). Expected water temperature in August in Goldap Lake will range between 20°C and 23°C. The lake is 2-8 meters deep. Starting from the water. Wetsuits allowed.

Cycling – at the distances of: 22,5 km (1 lap of 22,5 km) 45 km (2 laps of 22,5 km), 90 km (4 laps of 22,5 km). Mostly flat surface with few uphills and downhills. Distances measured with GPS. Helmet mandatory throughout the duration of the bike leg. All traffic will be suspended during the race. Drafting is not allowed, thus the participants can use both road and TT bikes.

Run – at the distances of: 5,275 km (1 lap of 5,275 km) 10.55 (2 laps of 5,275 km), 21.1 km (4 laps of 5,275 km). The track goes through the streets, pavements and paths of the city. Measurments of the track taken by GPS.
