Every year IRONMAN Austria attracts 3.000 athletes from 60 countries, along with their vocal supporters, to this perfect triathlon landscape.
Known as one of the most beautiful races in the world, IRONMAN Austria has become legendary among athletes. Klagenfurt (Austria) is situated at one end of the beautiful Lake Wörthersee with an average temperature of 22° C. After swimming, the athletes bike through the scenic landscape of Carinthia. The bike course, which has a „Tour de France“ atmosphere, with two steep climbs on each loop. The run course along the lakeside and across the city is mainly flat and shaded.
IRONMAN Austria offers 40 qualifying slots for the 2016 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, HI.
Professionals compete for P-2000 KPR points and $75,000 prize purse.
