This race is in the heart of Australian triathlon, where thousands of Australian athletes train day in, day out.
Challenge Gold Coast will feature a 1.9km pristine swim in Currumbin Creek, a 90km undulating ride through the Currumbin and Tallebudgera Valleys and then a 21.1km two lap run with stunning views along Currumbin Creek, Currumbin Beach and Tugun Beach.
Much preparation has gone into ensuring that Challenge Gold Coast is a course like no other and the Challenge Family has welcomed the event with open arms.
There are stretches of stunning, clean and lifeguarded golden sand beaches with views to Surfers Paradise skyline. Currumbin Beach was named Australia’s “cleanest beach” for 2013 in the annual Keep Australia Beautiful awards with a family-friendly array of accommodation options within walking distance to the event.
The top three male and female athletes will each receive an exclusive ‘Royal Package’ to Challenge Bahrain on 6 December and the opportunity to compete for the US$500,000 prize purse.
